Tube fly pike rig

Posted on 25 November 2013 by Vincent

We’ve been using a lot of tube pike streamers recently. In one of our latest tying video’s by Peter van Ruitenbeek I’ve explained a little bit why we use them. Some people struggle a little bit with the rigging of these tubes. Here’s a little video where Bobo is explaining how he makes his rigs.

You can’t use regular bait wires for tube flies, because most of the time these things have heavy-duty swivels that won’t fit trough your tube fly. That’s why we make our own. Bobo has his own technique for making his own titanium wire rigs. In this video he shows how to make them.

Ow, and ehm, thumbs up for Bobo’s sexy Ozzy accent 😉
